About this track:

"They Grow Toward the Light" is the fifth track on Étale's debut album, "Phynai", the first part of a two-part concept album. Released in tandem with the complementary third track, "Gnarled", on "Phynai", "They Grow Toward the Light" explores the theme of natural growth ("phynai") in a musical genre perhaps deserving of the name "progressive folk".
